Welcome to the 2026 Passover Book Roundup! The following are a selection of Passover picture books published this year. Wishing you a wonderful holiday!

All Who Are Hungry, Come and Eat!: A Passover Story by Leslie Kimmelman, illustrated by Alyssa Russell (HarperCollins)
Ethan’s family’s seder table is too big, but unexpected guests come knocking at the door, delightfully filling up their home and their table. A heartwarming reminder that on Passover, we are reminded to “Let all who are hungry come and eat.” Younger readers will love the array of family and friends that arrive, making Ethan’s family seder one to remember.

The Miracle of Matzah Pizza: A Biblical Tall Tale by Ann Koffsky (Intergalactic Afikoman)
Sammy is growing tired of eating matzah until his grandfather, Zaydee, introduces him to matzah pizza. As they enjoy their snack, Zaydee weaves in the story of Passover while relaying the tall, fantastical, and comical tale of how the matzah pizza was “discovered.”

Miriam and Her Dancing Shoes by Sandie Sasso Eisenberg, illustrated by Joani Rothenberg (Apples & Honey Press)
Using ethereal language, such as describing Miriam’s sparkling dancing shoes as made of papyrus reeds, this retelling of Miriam’s story is an absolute joy. The lyrical language complements the colorful movement of the collage-style illustrations.

My First Passover by Karen Katz (Godwin Books)
A seder with family and friends is celebrated with clear explanations for each step of the seder, making the holiday accessible for all. The text is paired with delightful illustrations that will welcome and engage readers. The book is part of the “My First Holiday” series.

My Passover Seder by Claire Freeland, illustrated by Aviel Basil (Green Bean Books)
Rhyming text introduces concepts of the Passover seder in a joyful way. Filled with playful language such as “Drink the juice, sippy sip. Dip the veggies, drippy drip,” the book is perfect for little ones learning about Jewish holidays.

The Passover Pet Surprise by Ana María Shua, illustrated by Ángeles Ruiz (NorthSouth Books)
Jordanita, Benja, and their parents travel from Miami to Argentina for Passover. The family in Argentina has a menagerie of pets, including two parrots in a cage. As they celebrate Passover, including many Argentinian customs, Jordanita wonders if maybe the idea of freedom should apply to parrots, as well.
