I was saddened to hear about the recent loss of the author Norman H. Finkelstein. Norman’s award-winning nonfiction books on topics related to Jewish history are accessible, interesting, and so very important. He was a lovely man and an inspiration to all who knew him.
In 2021 I was lucky to interview Norman about his nonfiction middle grade book THE SHELTER AND THE FENCE: WHEN 982 HOLOCAUST REFUGEES FOUND SAFE HAVEN IN AMERICA (Chicago Review Press, 2021).
May Norman’s memory be a blessing.
Yes, he was a good man and very good author. His nonfiction was well written and well researched. I’ll miss seeing him at various book events. May his memory be a blessing.
Thank you for your thoughtful comments, David. He will be missed.
